Friendship Day started off in 1935. This day is celebrated every year on the first Sunday of August. This is the time to reunite with old friends whom we have lost touch with and celebrate those special moments we have spent together.
A Friendship Day band made using colorful threads and ribbons is tied to friends on this special day. Exchanging of gifts and cards is also quite common. This year Friendship Day falls on August 2.
